Roll of Honour
The ten original races were won by some of the most famous, courageous and competitive drivers of the period. The table below lists, year by year, the drivers who gained the podium.
The race was created in 1947 as the “Coppa delle Dolomiti” and later called the “Coppa Internazionale delle Dolomiti” before getting its definitive name, the “Coppa d’Oro delle Dolomiti”.

Under the rules of the race, the Coppa d’Oro trophy – with an engraving of the Cortina milestone on the SS 48 road – was awarded to the driver totalling the fastest time over three consecutive races.
The first 3-year trophy (1950-52) was won by Salvatore Ammendola and the second (1953-55) by Giulio Cabianca, a specialist in mountain racing. Speed racing on roads ended in 1956, before the third 3-years could be completed.
